After researching home backup generators and leaning towards Generac, I contacted Jeff Woods construction and asked if they could come out to the house to discuss the Generac product line and appraise the job. One of their sales guys swung by that same afternoon and we discussed generator sizing options, placement requirements/options and potential installation timelines. I received a turn-key email quote that same evening containing all the detail we discussed. After accepting the quote, they scheduled the concrete pad and subsequent generator & transfer switch installation dates. The pad was installed in one afternoon with a couple of days following for concrete curing. The actual generator and transfer switch was installed a few days later and only took one day to complete. From the beginning to the end, the Jeff Woods Construction team was a pleasure to work. The sales manager (Patrick) was very informative, the owner (Jeff Woods), very knowledgeable and the installation crew (Jimmy & Roy) were very thorough and professional. I am very happy with the generator and it has provided me significant peace of mind. I would recommend Generac generators and Jeff Woods Construction to anyone considering a backup generator purchase.

I just want to thank Woods Construction and especially Jimmy and Roy for the great job they did on the installation of our 20KW Generac Home Generator this past Thursday. Not only did they seem to be very efficient men, they were very pleasant to work with and are a credit to Jeff Woods Construction Company.

I must admit I was a little bit dubious about having an out of town company install a generator that is going to have to be maintained by an out of town company but they did great job and reassured me that we were in good hands with Jeff Woods Construction.
They came, worked worked well with our utility company (KUB) they installed, They cleaned up our property, They explained the working of the generator to us in detail,and they left with a smile on our faces.

On November 9, 2012,we ordered a Generac/Centurion 20 KW propane fueled whole house generator with the GT-999 air cooled engine. Jeff Woods Construction was the company that installed the unit at our residence in Maryville, TN.

Within a couple of days of placing the generator order a representative from Jeff Woods Construction (Patrick) came to the house to complete an electrical load evaluation and physical site survey to select the proper location to install the unit.
Because of the high demand for whole house generators (hurricane Sandy), it took about three and one half weeks to get the unit shipped from Generac in Wisconsin. It arrived on site on December 5th, 2012.

The next day (Thursday Dec. 6th), an electrician from Jeff Woods Construction performed the electrical part of the install. It was a fairly complex job and took about 5 hours. Two days later, on Saturday Jeff and his associate, Jimmy, completed the propane hook-up and fully load tested the unit. No problems were encountered. The unit ran its automatic weekly test the next morning as programmed.
